Understanding Adrenal Disorders

The adrenal glands are small glands located above each kidney that play a vital role in regulating hormones essential for life. These hormones help control metabolism, blood pressure, response to stress, and other important functions. When the adrenal glands produce too much or too little of certain hormones, it can lead to significant health concerns.

At Suburban Endocrinology, we understand how complex and overwhelming adrenal disorders can feel. Symptoms are often subtle or mistaken for other conditions, which can make diagnosis challenging. Our team is here to help you navigate this journey with thorough evaluation, compassionate care, and a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Some of the most common adrenal disorders include:

  • Adrenal insufficiency (including Addison’s disease)

  • Cushing’s syndrome

  • Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH)

  • Primary aldosteronism (Conn’s syndrome)

  • Adrenal tumors or incidentalomas

  • Pheochromocytoma

This is not a complete list, and there are other less common adrenal conditions that may also require attention and care.

If you are experiencing unexplained fatigue, weight changes, low blood pressure, or other symptoms that don’t seem to have a clear cause, we encourage you to reach out. Our team is here to listen, evaluate, and guide you toward answers and relief.
